I decided to write today's blog not on my excellent vacation, but about a story that is all over the news. Don't get me wrong, I have a million reasons why I am happy from my Punta Cana vacation with Jim, and yes, I will post those reasons. But for today, one story I read online made me extremely happy for our country and the people who serve for our freedom.
I want to take this opportunity to welcome home Army Sgt Bowe Bergdahl. He has been in captivity for 5 years now in Afghanistan and has been finally released from the Taliban.
Not only are you a hero, your family is just as strong. Thank you for your service and welcome home.
