Day 10 - Family Ties
I know I said in my original blog that my determination to find something mundane and ordinary everyday to make me happy is the challenge. I wanted to try to prevent mentioning something practical like family, but today I am breaking that statement.
Today I am happy because my mom is happy. Plain and simple. It was date night with the mom! She made delicious food. We chatted over dinner and dessert (which I ate WAY TOO MUCH OF!) She showed me her new cards she made and the ones she is making for my friends! She was just happy to see me and I was happy to be with her.
I give her credit living in the house by herself. But she is a remarkable, strong woman and I hope I am half the woman she is when I get to be her age.
